Intraoral Cameras

Gloved hands holding a thin white intraoral camera

We want you to be an active participant in your child’s dental care, and it’s easier to do that when you can see the problem areas for yourself. With our intraoral cameras, we can take pictures of your child’s mouth from a variety of angles. You’ll be able to see these images for yourself on our convenient chairside monitor. We’ll point to any concerning issues – such as signs that tooth decay has started to occur – and explain what treatments are available to help your child continue to enjoy a healthy smile.

All-Digital Dental X-Rays

Dentist pointing to screen showing x rays of teeth

While having X-rays taken at the dentist’s office is not a new concept, many practices have made the switch from traditional X-rays to digital ones. This approach is much safer for your child since it reduces the level of radiation they’re exposed to by as much as 80 percent. (Note that we will use radiation shields during the scanning process.) Needless to say, high-quality digital X-ray images are invaluable when it comes to identifying oral health problems that we might not be able to catch with the naked eye alone.

LightScalpel® CO2 Laser

Dental laser device

For certain treatments, we make use of our LightScalpel CO2 laser. One of the advantages of using a dental laser is comfort; oftentimes, we won’t even need to numb your child’s mouth beforehand, and there will be less bleeding afterward. On top of that, dental lasers are very precise, allowing us to treat the problem areas while leaving nearby healthy tissues alone. Reach out to us to learn more about procedures where a laser might be used.

IV Sedation

With IV sedation, medication is delivered directly into the bloodstream to produce a strong calming effect almost immediately. We often suggest it for children with significant dental anxiety, those undergoing complex or lengthy treatments, or patients who need several procedures completed in one visit. Beforehand, we’ll carefully review your child’s medical history and current medications to ensure their comfort. Our office is fully equipped with advanced monitoring devices and emergency medications to guarantee their safety.

Soan No-Injection Anesthesia

Soan is a modern, computer-guided handheld device that enables us to deliver local anesthetic quickly, effectively, and without the pinch. It’s precisely targeted to the tooth being treated, greatly reducing widespread numbness and the chances of accidental lip or tongue biting afterward. This minimizes post-treatment complications and helps your child return to eating, drinking, and their usual routine while you enjoy the reassurance that they’re safe and at ease.

Overjet AI

Dentist using AI to analyze X-ray

This advanced AI technology helps identify the earliest signs of cavities, bone loss, and infections, making it easier for our team and parents to see potential concerns in X-rays and scans. Every image is still evaluated by a dentist 100% of the time—the AI simply highlights subtle changes that might be too faint for the human eye. This leads to more accurate diagnostics, earlier intervention, and clearer explanations of your child’s needs so you feel confident in our recommendations.

Panoramic/Cephalometric X-Rays

Dentist going over panoramic X-ray with child

Often called pan/ceph X-rays, these images allow us to view all of the teeth, both jaws, and surrounding oral structures at once. This broad perspective helps our team track growth and development, detect potential issues, and support orthodontic care. With this information, our orthodontist can plan braces more effectively for adolescents, whose teeth and jaws change quickly due to natural growth and orthodontic treatment.

Nomad Dental X-Rays

The Nomad is a compact handheld X-ray device designed to capture close-up images of just a few teeth using the lowest feasible amount of radiation. In fact, the ADA confirms that patients no longer need lead aprons because the exposure is so minimal. The process is quick and convenient, and we can share the images with you and your child almost instantly, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their smile.

Silver-Diamine Fluoride

Dentist applying silver diamine fluoride to young girl’s teeth

Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a gentle, effective way to manage active cavities. Applied as a liquid directly to the affected tooth, the silver eliminates harmful bacteria, while the fluoride simultaneously strengthens the remaining enamel. This approach is not only quick but also conservative, allowing us to preserve more of the natural tooth structure. As a result, the tooth remains stronger, healthier, and more resilient over time.

Icon Treatment

Closeup of fluorosis on teeth

White spots on teeth can develop for many reasons, including fluorosis (too much fluoride exposure in childhood), early decay, or physical trauma. Traditional whitening can’t remove them, but Icon treatment can. This minimally invasive procedure uses resin infiltration to fill tiny spaces within the enamel, blending the color and making the white spots disappear while preserving the natural tooth structure.

Curodont

Curodont is an innovative treatment that helps teeth naturally repair early decay without drilling or fillings. In just three minutes, a peptide-based liquid is applied directly to the affected area, encouraging the enamel to absorb calcium and phosphate from saliva. This speeds up the body’s natural repair process, allowing cavities to be reversed conservatively and comfortably, all without injections or invasive procedures.
